 Medikal arrested for brandishing gun on social media Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal, has been arrested for brandishing a gun in a video on social media. Medikal was with his wife, Fella Makafui, at the Accra Regional Police Command charge office. He was brought to the station by police and is currently in police custody. One of the lawyers who represented Shatta Wale, Jerry Avenogbor, was sighted at the police command but it remains unclear if he is going to represent Medikal in this case.

The Anbariya Sunni Community on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, presented a memorandum to the Parliament house of Ghana in support of the “Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, 2021” The memorandum which is signed by the leader of Anbariya Sunni Community, Sheikh Saeed Abubakar Zakariya, was presented to the clerk of the Committee on Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs of parliament, by a delegation led by Dr. Tamim Abubakar Saeed, general Secretary of Anbariya, and Sheikh Abdussami Issah Iddris, personal secretary to the leader.  The Anbariya's memorandum contained detailed explanation of Islamic ruling on LGBTQ+ from both Qur'an and Prophetic traditions. President Nana Akuffo Addo has said on a Cape Coast-based radio station, Eagle FM, that he never promised to build a harbour in the Central Regional capital while campaigning in the run-up to the 2020 elections.The facts, however, show the President’s claims are untrue. President Akufo-Addo was speaking with Babara Obeng Dwamena Mensah on the ‘Kokroko’ Morning Show on Monday morning at the start of a two-day tour of the region.When asked about the status of a promise to build an airport and a harbour in Cape Coast, the President said, “The commitment was never to build a harbour. It was to build a landing site. It is very, very important. And when you look into page 88 of the NPP manifesto for the 2020 election. It’s very clear”.   Over 10 Q-net agents in Police custody for defrauding its customers Some 15 agents of the Qnet company have been remanded into prison custody to reappear on Tuesday, October 19. The police have charged them for defrauding under false pretences. Court processes began on Monday, October 18 at the Koforidua Circuti Court A after over a dozen of them were arrested on Friday, October 15. Their appeal for bail application was not granted by presiding judgem Her Honour Marian Affoh Polley. The agents were rounded up in a swoop by the police on Friday for cyber fraud under false pretences. They were screened and their leaders picked up for investigations processes on Monday.
